The website owner and I have been trying to switch the admin email to be her email address … previously, it was set to the original developer. She has an admin account which works with no problem.
In the process of switching the admin email address, WordPress sends an email to that address and waits for confirmation. She has not been able to receive any email from the WordPress software. And, I realized that we aren’t receiving reports from WordFence either.
According to FlyWheel’s tech support, it’s WordFence that is blocking the sendmail function, and we need to whitelist the email addresses. All I can find is that Wordfence can whitelist domains, not email addresses.
Our other option is to ditch WordPress altogether on this site. WordPress has been a great asset on other hosts, and I am loath to take that step.
