I really like this plugin, so I was disappointed to find out what a big impact this plugin has on page load speeds. I am using the latest, pretty dropdown with flags. As it loads each tiny map image individually, plus scripts/styling, it was adding 20+ requests to each page load, which resulted in more than 0.5 seconds per page load. In addition, some of the flags were identical, but saved as two separate names.
Could you not save these as a sprite to reduce page load time?
